engine light after installs

engine light after installs

well the installation of LT headers, cat back exhaust and lid are done and the "check engine light" is on..........

ideas?

thanks for any thoughts!

you DO know that the SES light indicates the computer has an error code stored in it...right?

go have it scanned...that will tell you 90% of what it could be.

probably something related to EGR, AIR or the cats

My best guesses:

1) o2 extensions can throw a "low power" code on simms & sensors

2) Shifting around the transmission for extra can loosen a plug or two.

Just starting with the basics, but do you still have your cats? If not, you will need O2 sims. But, checking the codes is the best way.
