Cool Dynomouth Installed: Comments.

I just got the dynomouth installed. $140 total. I had they move my two exaust tips to the center so I have a dual/quad exaust. The sound is good. The low RPMs sound like a stock exaust, mid range sounds like the cut out I used to have, and the high RPMs sound like a really pissed off cat of some sort. Over all I'm pleased. I seem to have got some low end torque back. No raspy sound at all. No drone like that of my cut out either. And the quad exaust looks choice

Congrats!
It's funny how everyone describes the sound differently. I wonder if your center mount tips play a role in the sound... I know my sound changed some when I went to non-stock tips.

What tips come with the dynomouth? If any. Where can you pick up the center quad tips?

Ratio 411, you must be the biggest supporter of the dynomouth exhaust around. LOL.
I used to have a dual/dual dynomouth setup but replaced it with a hooker catback and the power is better but for sound, the dynomouth is awesome. I will remove the hooker muffler and just have 3 bullets, 2 in the ypipe and 1 in the I pipe.
Hope that works out.

I'm sure I seem downright fanatical...
I guess the reason is that I think alot of F-car owners are brainwashed into thinking they have to spend a fortune on a pipe and fancy tips to get sound and power from their car. I am nearly as fanatical with the free mods, especially the 160 thermostat free mod or cheap mods like the Fernco and autofan mods.
This hobby was created by guys who used initative to make awesome cars, not thier wallets.
Dave

Btw: I gained over 25 rwhp on my car for $240, some guys spend $1000+ to get that.

It doesn't come with tips. It's just a muffler you order then drop the stock one. I picked my tips up at the exaust shop. Once again I WOULD post pics but a psycho ex stole my digi cam so I can't

Yeah, what's up with that? I bought mine a few years ago for $3, now they are $6-10... I think the manufacturer found out F-body guys were buying their stuff and raised the price . Kinda like companies selling $200 headers for $1300 because we have F-bodies.
(I actually had one of the header company reps tell me this without shame)

A little off topic. What's a Fernco?

A rubber plumbing hose that's used to replace the little "accordian" hose that connects the MAF to the TB.You can find them at Home Depot or Lowes in the plumbing section.

What size? 4" in and 4' out? Thanks for your help. That just helps smooth out the air going from MAF to the throttle body right?
