Yes, all 6-speeds and 3.23 geared autos have the aluminum shaft. The 2.73 cars get "the shaft".

Speaking of the aluminum driveshaft, here's an interesting tidbit I learned about it not too long ago.

My car recently developed a "tink" when I shift in reverse and sometimes when I take off from a stop. I brought it to my local transmission shop and here's what the guy told me.

When GM makes these aluminum driveshafts for the F-Bodies, there is sometimes some metal shavings that get caught inside the driveshaft during welding and when it's sealed with Teflon, etc. etc., which causes the "tink". This guy is like Dr. Transmission, so I take his word for it. I was baffled to say the least when I learned what make that "tink".

Not all F-bodies come with Aluminum DS's. All SS's come with it, and all Firehawks do. If you did not get the tire upgrade from the factory, which also gives you the speed limiter upgrade, then you will have a steel DS. I believe the lower speed limiter is at 115mph and if you got the better tires it takes it up to 158mph.
