do you remove all the wing nuts from the studs when you uncap it? Thats the only thing i can really think of that would be obvious. A more underlying cause could be the frequencies of the cutout rattling something under the car. you would have to go under their and look for it. I know on my car i had this rattling noise after i install the exhaust and it turned out to be a metal ring that just seemed to be hanging out around the exhaust pipe after the cat.

Where does the rattling come from? How loud? I would simply make sure all the bolts are securely tightened underneath your car. Not just the exhaust bolts.

I HAVE CHECKED ALL OF THE BOLTS AND HEAT SHIELDS. EVERYTHING IS TIGHT. WHEN I REV MY ENGINE ONCE THE RPMS START TO COME DOWN I CAN HEAR THE NOISE OR WHEN IM DRIVING RIGHT BEFORE THE CAR SHIFTS,. I JUST INSTALLED A ELECTRIC CUT OUT TODAY AND THE NOISE IS THERE IF I OPEN CUT OUT AT ALL. NO NOISE AT ALL IF ITSW CLOSED

Okay, does the sound only occur when the engine is dropping in RPM, like if you rev it or if you're driving along and put the car in neutral, or does it happen all of the time? If it only happens when the RPM is dropping, it's normal. Every LS1 with a cutout I've listened to has done it. I believe it is caused by a valve fluttering up closer to the engine. I don't recall which valve, but I saw somewhere a write-up for putting a restrictor on the valve to reduce the problem. It is a rather disconcerting noise, but it doesn't hurt anything and there is no rubbing.

Are you using the one's from FTForce.com? Mine made noise but I just didn't tighten it enough.

This is not an electric cutout right? Just the regular flowtech?

Yup, see my last post on this thread. It's normal with a cutout. Nothing is actually rubbing, it's the valve fluttering.
