camshaft input

I have a 1999 Camaro Z28 with 90,000 miles... Ls6 intake manifold and ported throttle body, I have an SSRA, Slp lid, K&N Filter, also have 3" long tube headers with 3" pipe going to 3" cutout. front 18x9.5" rear 19x10" tires...it is also a daily driver

my question is what kind of cam would you recommend? I was kinda thinking the MS3, f14 or something similar to that... if the cam was to be swapped what else would yall recommend to replace? And are the 918 springs crap like the stick says?

First question i have is, what are your plans with the car? Daily driver, weekend car, track with some or little street use? You don't want too large of a cam if you have to drive back and forth to work everyday. Do you have an A4 or M6? With an A4 you will definitely need to replace your torque converter even for a very mild cam.

I love my G5x2 for a cam only car. Pulls like a raped ape and is very liveable around town.

Hell I might sell it to you, I'm jumping up to the RapTR; which I wouldnt' recommend (MS3 size) unless you lightened the car, gears, big stall, etc...

Get some PRC/Patriot Gold dual springs. I wouldn't trust those 918s on nasty ramp rates like the LSK lobes and newer XE-R stuff.

I've always had great builds using Futral's stuff, so I always recommend the F13 or F14 (HL or regular variety) depending on what you want to do in the future with it.

+1 f13 / patriot golds F13 also behaves very nicely on a 408
