corvette blocks are aluminum right? camaro block isnt?

Ahhh, but they're not really LS1's. The LS1 is "specifically" the 5.7L. The 4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0 are similar designs, but the LS1 & LS6 are the only aluminum 5.7L engines.

Either the 5.3 the 6.0 or both are the same block as the 5.7 i forget which (or if it's both) just different stroke.

6.0 is an iron block and what most of the big strokers are based on, I dont know about the 5.3 other than heads.

the 4.8 the 5.3 and the 6.0 VORTEC Motors are iron block

the 5.6 ls1 and ls6 motors are aluminum.

The lt1 and lt4's are iron block

yea dave but isn't the 6.0 iron block the same as a 5.7 aluminum block just a different stroke?

Small Edit:
The 5.3L that comes optional in the 7passenger Trailblazer/Envoy/Bravada is aluminum.
The truck 5.3L's are still iron........
