C.A.G.S just in automatic or manual trans also??confused..w/in
I know the CAGS diable stops the forced shift from 1'st to 4th....however is this just in the automatic fbody...or does the computer also make the forced shift in manuals as well. Just curious,

It is not on the automatics, but rather the six speeds. It is simply a computer operated solonoid that blocks second gear, and smoothly guides the shifter from the second gear gate to the fourth gear gate.

CAGS - Computer Aided Gear Selection would have no purpose on an A4 since the computer automatically shifts for you anyway.
As for a 6speed, as long as you rev 1st gear out past like 2500rpm CAGS will not engage anyway.
