I am pretty sure the ssra is a whole package, and the ssra2 is an add-on for like the slp cold air kit to make it into a ssra.

Hi guys. I'm the producer of the SSRA, SSRA2, Austin Scoop, and Qwik Stick. It's all a little confusing so let me straighten it out.

SSRA: This is the Super Sucker Ram Air(no longer ARA, sorry Darren I changed it back)

SSRA2: This is just the top box, no plastic scoop. It's for people who worry about clearance issues. Very similar to FTRA and SLP, but larger. $129

Austin Scoop: This is an aluminum scoop that fits the FTRA or SLP kit to make them similar to the SSRA.

Qwik Stick: This is a short stick similar to Lous.

This should clear things up. In my opinion the SSRA is better than the SSRA2 because the bottom scoop gives it a true ram air at speed and because of it, and the fact that it is made of plastic, is what sets it apart from the rest of the cold air/ram air packages out there.

agreed, the other ones made of metal get heat soak like none other. go with SSRA not 2, its just an ad on kit for other types of CAI.

i've got ssra and have recently had to take off the bottom section, and i feel no difference.......understandably so considering the difference is near nothing...even at highway speeds....i guess it being plastic instead of metal is a plus....how much so, i dunno....
