My roomate is planning on either getting a H/C & longtube package for his '01 SS or just a cam package w/longtubes....

Basically, I can't be the slower of the two in the house so I gotta keep up.

So who's got the best pricing right now? I'm looking to make around 400 at the wheels with a cam & longtubes and maybe 450 with H/C/longtubes.

Basically, we'll probably both end up getting the same stuff for both cars and have a horsepower day at the house installing everything. Its all in good fun of course.

Ok Demond, on a COMPLETE stock motor w/ that, how much HP?

 

Ok that question is a little easier to answer, but still depends on a few things like cam choice and tuning, M6 or A4. with stage 2 heads, LT headers, and say a 224/228 cam it would guess 500ish engine hp. I have seen 410rwhp with this setup on an M6 before tuning.

not trying to be evasive, it is just that hp can be affected by so many variables I don't like to say you will get xxx from this or that.

What am I looking like pricewise for that package w/out the heads...just cam & long tubes?...shipped of course. Not so sure I wanna spend the extra bucks on heads right now, but I definitley wanna bump the HP numbers up quite a bit. Still want valve springs, pushrods, etc...
