Best Longtubes

To all you guys that have longtubes - What is the best brand of longtubes for power and durability. Performance is the main concern, but a friend of mine bought coated Headman's and they started to rust after 1 year. Car is driven only in the summer. TIA

I have three categories for LT headers:

1) High-quality/superior performance/expensive/beautiful

2) Mid-Quality/great performance/moderate price

3) Low-quality/low budget/good-performance/low-build quality/satisfactory looks

1) Finish Line Performance(FLP), TTS, PPC

2) Hooker, Kooks, Flowtech

2.5) SLP, Hedman

3) Pacesetter

These are only my opinon!!! But these speak from numerous pictures, prices, and people's expiriences

You will get many thoughts and opinions on this. No one is going to be right or wrong. If you want longtubes, get whatever's easiest to afford. They all give you just about the same gain in power/performance. The Hookers and Jet-Hots are low cost, but not stainless steel. The SLP's are stainless steel but some people seem to think they aren't good (I'll never understand why BTW). I bought Jet-Hots and had them coated with the 2000 degree coating. I live in Illinois and need the extra protection in the winter. They aren't shiny like the regular coating, but No one sees them anyway. I prefer "go" over "show." Good luck.

Theres no way I would put FLP at the top over Kooks. All the Grot design headers like Kooks and QTP put out about 10 RWHP over the others and are almost guarunteed to fit. You can't get the same guaruntee from FLP, Jet hot, or SLP. Seems like Hooker is about the best bang for the buck, but I went for the bang and spent the buck on the kooks. Just my opinion.

I pretty much agree with Ferocity02 except I would put kooks in category #1 & the slp's are built well, they just don't perform up to par.
