Another Header Question
Another Header Question
I've been considering getting a set of pacesetter longtubes (im broke
) and the dual system that tsp sells, i know ill have to get the o2 sensor eliminators but the real question is will i need to get the car tuned after the install, also should i remove the egr and air equip (i know ill need a tune after that)???

Re: Another Header Question
just do what i did.(it will be cheaper.) get the off road headers they have no egr or air stuff. take the egr and air off your car. dont buy o2 sims. just take the car to have the egr and air codes turned off and have the rear o2's turned off. you get this done for around $75.
Re: Another Header Question
if you don't have to worry about emissions, what is the point of running the EGR and AIR. and besides, the AIR system is there to help out the cats, if those are gone...the AIR is pointless.
you don't neccessarily need a tune after headers, it would probably help out to get max power out of the car, but not needed.
as for tuning if you remove the EGR and AIR, that also isn't neccessary for the car to run well. all they will do is trigger an SES light. none of which will hinder performance in any way. you just have to deal with the light being on all the time. if you can deal with that, than don't bother with the o2 sims since all those do is prevent the SES light.
and if it's already on for the egr and air, it won't matter that it's on for the rear cats
live with it till you can get it tuned....that's what i'm doing

Re: Another Header Question
Would a predator programmer take off the SES light for deleted egr and air? I'm in the same situation. Wandering whether to get them with or without emissions stuff. Thanks in advance!
