A4 shift knob
This has nothing to do with performance, but all you folks out there with A4's who can't stand the ugly-a$$ed shift knobs that come stock, there is an answer. I just received and put on a stainless steel knob engraved with a bowtie on my Z and it looks great! Mallory Billet Aluminum Products (A supporting advertiser) makes these and other really cool products, check them out. No, I am not a company shill, I just think it is a good product.

I hated my handle too, so I replaced mine with the Firebird leather T handle a couple years ago. PN 12563172

Momo has a gunmetal pushbutton shift knob. They are about 80 to 90 bucks I believe.

I put a Hurst T-handle shifter knob on my M6 and I swear I can find the gears more easy now. It has a much more ridged feel than the stock leather pool ball.

I just want to know if you can cut the shaft, and the button shaft, and lower the whole thing about 1/2 - 1"? Granted you would have to put new notches for the retaining clip, and everything would have to be precisely measured......Anyone done this? |
