A4 shift ****

This has nothing to do with performance, but all you folks out there with A4's who can't stand the ugly-a$$ed shift ***** that come stock, there is an answer. I just received and put on a stainless steel **** engraved with a bowtie on my Z and it looks great! Mallory Billet Aluminum Products (A supporting advertiser) makes these and other really cool products, check them out. No, I am not a company shill, I just think it is a good product.

Don't over tighten the two allen screws on the adapter like it says in the instructions, turn them in just so they clear the **** sliding on to the adapter. It is a simple mechanism, if done correctly there is no chance of it binding. Mine works smooth as silk.

I hated my handle too, so I replaced mine with the Firebird leather T handle a couple years ago. PN 12563172

I put a Hurst T-handle shifter **** on my M6 and I swear I can find the gears more easy now. It has a much more ridged feel than the stock leather pool ball.

Thats a cool handle and all, but it doesn't work for an A4, like the posting says.

I have the TA handle too, and love it.

I just want to know if you can cut the shaft, and the button shaft, and lower the whole thing about 1/2 - 1"? Granted you would have to put new notches for the retaining clip, and everything would have to be precisely measured......Anyone done this?
