My power steering pump leaked all over my alternator and the car died so I decided to change it.
So I took the alternator out today and noticed someone who owned the car before me cut 3 of the 4 wires coming out of the alternator plug and spliced the other one onto something else. Does anyone have a wire diagrahm to see where those three are supposed to go?
Sinced it worked fine before the pump started leaking everywhere should I even bother hooking them back up?
On a side note whats a great degreaser since the pump fluid made a mess.

There should be only one wire coming out of that plug and it goes directly to the PCM.

Maybe the original harness on my car was broken or something because one of the wires is spliced into a wire from the chasis harness and the other three are just cut and hanging out. They must go to something on another car. thanks for the help!

Many times that wire is ripped out of the connector when someone removes the alternator not knowing it is there. When you buy a replacement from GM it comes with all 4 wires. You cut off the 3 that are not used and splice the one you need to the engine harness.
