I know the 98 had a smaller gas tank. Something was also different about the motor, something like the block was different in some minor way. I believe the 99 and 00's were practially identical.

98 has accurate gauges and biggest injectors
99-02 has garbage gauges
00 has smallest injectors

I know 1998 are the bigger 'b!tches' to change spark plugs on.... Becaus of the exhaust manifolds and coil packs... Performance wise they are all in the same ballpark...

2000 has stereo controls in the steering wheel, body colored mirrors on the Z28s (instead of black), and a bigger gas tank.
I've also heard that 2000s have upgraded brakes.
98-00 have the same hp and torque. 01-02 have 5 more hp and 5 more lb-ft of torque.
That's about it.

I am 99.9% sure that my '98 has the same 15.5 gallon tank that my '01 does.

But the answer to your question as I see it is don't target a specific year; all 3 are great years in F-body history. When looking for a used F, look for one in good shape that hasn't been beat on much.

Im not really triggering a specific year. Its just I see them for all around the same price where I'm at and I was wondering if they have added anything new in the few years. Also the 98s and 99s don't have the volume controls on the steering wheel. Is there a difference in interiors.
