2000 Z-28 codes

WOW ok I went for an oil change and my friend plugged in the machine and came up with "7", yes 7 codes
p0135
p0137
0157 all 02 sensors
p405 e.g.l. flow
p0430 catalytic conv.
p440 evap control
p1416 air system malfunction!

this is an older man 80 yrs. old so he wasn't really knowledgable as far as the locations on vehicle,or cost to fix these. if someone can brief me as to where these are located and approx. cost I'd appreciate it!

Re: 2000 Z-28 codes

P0430 - cat might be clogged. Is the car having any performance issues?

P0135 - o2 sensor might have gone bad check the connections. Do happen to have headers by any chance?

These are the only ones I remember off the top of my head.

Re: 2000 Z-28 codes

No headers completely stock. Had a converter replaced in 05 under warranty. runs great ,except for a lil hesitation from a dead stop. 98,000 miles Never been tuned up, never had anti freeze changed. wher on engine are the 02 sensors?

Re: 2000 Z-28 codes

The o2 sensors are on the exhaust manifolds.

Re: 2000 Z-28 codes

P0135 - (B1S1) HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT

P0137 - (B1S2) HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW

P0157 -(B2S2) HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW

The above could be the fuse that supplies 12V power to the heaters in the O2 sensors. It's unlikely that the heaters in all 3 sensors failed at the same time.

P0405 - EGR VALVE POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE

P0430 - BANK 2 CATALYTIC CONVERTER LOW OXYGEN STORAGE
Could be a problem with the cat on the passenger side, or could be a problem with the after-cat O2 sensor that measures cat performance. Fix the O2 sensor heater problem first.

P0440 - EVAP. Emission Control System Malfunction
Due to weak vacuum in the EVAP system. Check the vacuum lines.

P1416 - AIR INJECTION SYSTEM
The PCM turned on the AIR pump, and didn't see the O2 sensor readings lean out. Solve the O2 sensor heater problems first. If still there, could be the pump not working (would set its own code) or a melted line from the pump to othe check valve, or a faulty check valve.

I'm no LS1 expert.... and I'm almost as old as the guy who scanned it for you :D , so someone else will have to tell you where each of these are on your LS1.

Here's a link to the GM code list specifically for your engine:
