02 sensor question
Just wondering for any of you that have had problems with your 02 sensors.....
what were the symptoms your cars suffered from when 02's went bad? Did you have longtubes installed on the car?Heads and cam? I think mine might be in need of changing... Does cleaning em out with brake cleaner really work, is it a temporary fix for us possibly running rich with bad 02's? thanks in advance, Rick |
I have heads,cam,headers....My o2 sensors went bad. Bad exhaust smell...SES light. Poor Gas milege...really rich. Kinda ruff running...etc...

Seth,
did you get a hesitation feeling when the 02's went bad? I am not talking about a miss, I mean more of a feeling like something in the motor didnt want to turn and all of a sudden it let go and the motor could rev freely again? I think that motor hesitation could be 02 related. I changed my plugs yesterday and it feels alot better but that hesitation is still there basically under 2 grand and a few times up until 3 grand. Not sure if this might just be cam surge either. thanks, Rick |
I too am wondering if my O2 sensors are going out.
I don't think it's related to the fact that i just installed a Loudmouth about 3 weeks ago, but suddenly I get really crappy gas mileage... on the highway I can almost watch the gas gauge go down. I think I'm gonna crawl under the car and make sure all 4 of those things are properly attached. ------------------ www.CamaroHighway.com Yahoo!
