$1,000 budget/ What should I do?
Hello all, another one of them damn new guys here. I just recently purchased a 2000 WS6 with a m6 tranny. The car is
completely stock unless you count the air filter. I've got roughly
a grand to work with and wonder what you all would do with a thousand bucks and a stock car. Thanks in advance for any help
and reccomendations.

Re: $1,000 budget/ What should I do?
Here's my suggestions,
SLP - bolt-on SFC, Driveshaft loop.
BMR - LCA, Sway bars front & rear ( with there end link kit ), PHR ( adjustable if your cars lowered ).
That should give you just about enough money left over to buy a lid.
Al
P.S. Welcome aboard.

It all depends on what you want to do with the car. I like to autocross, therefore almost all of my mods deal with better handling. If you're more into drag racing you'll want to steer more toward mods that increase power. Here are my suggestions. Note the sig: I like these mods because I have done them or are doing most of them myself.
SLP Blemished Air Lid - ~ $75
http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...TNUMBER=21045B
BMR Boxed Subframe Connectors - $159
http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-body...frameconnector
DMS Springs - $175

Bilstien HD Shocks - $329
http://www.stranoparts.com
35mm Solid Front Sway Bar - $150
http://www.stranoparts.com
That puts you at $888 plus shipping. You may also want a PHB or LCA relocation brackets or a strut tower brace or even headers. One thing's for sure though. Beware, once you start there will always be that next thing you want to do. It never stops.

Without a doubt the very first thing you need to buy is either the LSS (Lou's Short Stick) or Stealth stick. While your at it get the Pro 5.0 shifter too.
Pro 5.0 and LSS = $215.00
Texas-Speed Air Lid = $130.00
After that it really depends on what your shooting for.. HP, Handleing or appearance.

Thanks so far for all of the great suggestions. What I,m shooting for with my car is to have a great all around performer. I gather from reading some of the reply's here that no one here thinks too highly of the factory Hurst shifter. The shifter wasn't even on my radar. Could someone please explain why the shifter should be on
the top of my list? Whatever I do I want what I do to compliment each other so to speak. Say for instance I do exhaust now wouldn't it be smarter to do headers now as well, instead of shocks and exhaust. Well, thanks again for everyones help and suggestions.
