Whine/Howl Noise

A few weeks ago, my car developed this howl/whine noise.

It sounds like wind going through a tunnel or wind blowing in a haunted house and the noise doesn't stop.

Does anyone know what it could be?

The noise doesn't stop. Even when the car is garaged? Maybe you could be more specific. From your description, it sounds like you have a window cracked open. Is it vehicle speed-related? Engine speed-related? Tranny gears-related? Diff? Wheel bearing? Tires? XM off-channel?

It coming from the rear and I think it's either the rearend, the rotors or the brakes.

Jack the rear of the car off the ground and put it in gear, see if you notice it then. Try to narrow it down, your not being to specific so it's hard to say what it could be.

If I were able to be specific, I would know what it is. One of the reasons I didn't come out and say what I think it may be in the first post was because everyone might have just agreed with me instead of trying to pinpoint the problem.

Like I said, I think it's either the rear or the brakes and rotors. The whine/howl gets slightly louder the faster I accelerate and stops when I'm going about 5 MPH.

Well I just gave you advice on how to find what it was, next time I'll let you try and figure it out on your own. Try doing something about it before you come on here expecting answers.
