VATS security system

I have a loose wire in my ignition box and fiddling with it will cause it to completely break. I looked into prices for an entire new box/key and the total is almost 300 dollars from every parts store in Austin.

Are there any alternatives for fixing this problem of mine? I've heard you can manually set the resistors or tune out the entire security problem? Which method is easiest and will both get rid of that goddamn security light?
