v6 to v8 swap ny state inspection

hey everyone. I have had a 96 camaro rs as my daily for about 2 years. I bin wanting to do a motor swap for some time cus I'm bored of beating on the lil motor I need more power. My buddy just sold me his 93 z28 wit 83k on it for cheap cus its got a bad electrical problem. (No blinkers, brake lights, abs and defroster only works when u hit the left directional ect) his motor is from a 96 t/a but he put his 93 intake manifold on it and is run of the 93 harness and computer. Now I need to know if i put all his **** in my car would it pass inspection. Everything is from an obd1 car and is being put into an obd2 car. any input?

IMO, sell both of those cars and buy one already running.

Ummmm, yeah thats a big reason to sell. With the cost of these cars the way they are, you are looking at more trouble to try to swap engines then it is to just sell the ones you have and buy one in perfect working order.

You have one car that you just said runs perfectly but you want to swap the motors for a LT1. You are better off selling it the way it is.

The other car you said has a serious electrical problem. Either fix it and drive it, sell it like it is, or part it out.

Or go ahead and do what you have obviously already decided to do regardless of what anyone tells you, even though you asked for opinions. Pull both motors, make both cars inoperable, then fuss and fight with swapping all of the components over. Then end up with a junk car and a seperate motor just sitting there. You will waste more time and spend more money. But hey, its yours.
