I used to work at a GM - Mitsubishi dealer for a while. The synro-mesh can only be purchased at a GM dealer and yes we did use it on Mitsubishi cars that were starting to have syncro problems and it did help. As far as T56 trans, not sure, hopefully someone can shed some more light on the subject.

when I was a member on 3si.org (3000gt/stealth forum) alot of the 3s cars had syncro problems. Syncro mesh cured most if not all of the problem very nicely. I was hoping that it would work on the t-56 as well as I am having some crappy third gear problems.
