Stuck left turn signal

Stuck left turn signal
My '99 Z28 has a problem; the left turn signal is stuck and the running light doesn't come on. However if I turn the parking lights on or the regular headlights then the left running light comes on but the blinker stays stuck. The weird thing is though, if I leave the parking lights on while I drive after awhile the blinker will unstick and start working again. Any thoughts ? Cold weather or just a bad connection ?
