The new guy

Thanks for great posts and useful information. I'm in the process of restoring a 97 z28 with a 6 speed any suggestions on suspension? And I'm having trouble with it leaking coolant from a hose located on the back of the block. Can anyone inform me on how to fix this problem?

Re: The new guy

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!

Suspension components vary with how you plan to use the car. Straight line drag racing, auto-X/road racing, or just a well-balanced daily driver???

The only coolant "hose" at the rear of the engine is the "steam tube" connected to the rear of each head, to vent air and steam bubbles. You can see the silver metal tube in Shoebox's photos of the back of the engine:

Tech questions get better results in a tech form like "LT1Based Engine Tech", or "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes". I can move/copy this thread there if you want. Not a lot of tech help in "New Member Intro".

I'm thinking well balanced daily driver. Thank you for the info greatly appreciated. If you wouldn't mind posting copying to a tech forum I would appreciate that as well.
