Wow- Thank Fikret.

I called today..seemed to be great guys, and I can easily get 400 ponies without sacrificing drivability OR breaking my budget.

Things are starting to come together.

Rossler builds one of the best transmissions you can buy, but they aren't cheap.

http://www.rosslertrans.com/

LPE uses them for all their stupid fast cars like the TT Vettes.

That is correct. They are about 160 miles from Myrtle Beach...that is driving distance for you man!

I still need a source for the needle/pointers for the gauges. They are severely faded. Thats probably a dealer item.
I haven't ever removed the needles - but I hear they are a pain in the butt to work with. You can pick up a complete used cluster for ~$100 - if you don't have any luck finding them anywhere else. I would try the dealer though. The parts manual only lists the cluster as a part number - it doesn't show the needles as seperate.

Right Click--->Save Target As... 122mb later, you will appreciate me. This is the parts catalog for '93-'02 F-Bodies. You can find (just about) any part number for your car.

eBay.

You don't want to see what the dealer wants for one - trust me!

Or, in other words - they are all over eBay for a lot less - and in good shape.

Another source for you...

These links are absolutely great...I never dreamed there was this much stuff out here for the Z's.

Bad news, at least IMO..the drivers door is split where the outer panel meets the inside door frame. Discovered that one today.

Couple guys over at the local Chevy dealer said they make a glue to put it back together, but there was a big TSB on the 93/94 doorskins for this very problem.

It will cost as much to have it glued at the shop as a used one off EBAY- but do I need to look for a door specifically setup for power windows/locks since that was what mine came with?

I think while I'm at all this, I should probably freshen up the suspension, too. I see alot of the guys on here running Eibachs, so maybe I'll look into that.

BTW, hats off to 94BlackBowTie for the parts manual. Very very cool. Thats a goldmine, especially for me.

I have found that GM Parts Direct is only good if you have the part # handy and search it. That's why the F-body parts manual, as mentioned and posted, is good to have.

There are quite a few really good head porters out there. http://www.flow-technics.com is another good head porter I know of.

On the other hand, you can hit 350 crank hp no problem without any head work. Based on my last dyno, I'm pretty close to it now, and I haven't even put headers on yet!

Oh yeah, power window doors will be easier for you to find than ones with crank handles. Power windows on Z28's are a lot more common than those without.

Good luck in your search!
