What kind of gains can I see from these bolt ons?

Hey guys

How much HP each bolt would give me, I have few small bolt ons right now check sig.

Kooks LT
1.6 rockers
TB bypass
e cut out
Tune

I don't have catback I just replaced the muffler when I was younger, now I know I should just got the full catback. I would look at getting a bigger intermediate pipe though.

How far off 300 rwhp would I be?

Your not really looking at a whole lot of gain from any of those. Especially the TB bypass.

First thing's first. Start with your exhaust and intake. Go from there.

Huh?

TB bypass is a dyno proven 6 HP, basically free. Tune on a totally stock engine can net 10-15HP simply by leaning out the overly rich stock LT1 PE mode target A/F ratio. 1.6X roller rockers can net 10 HP. LT's plus the cutout another 20-25. He has a CAI and a muffler. All he's missing is a 3" mandrell bent IM pipe.

With the T56 manual trans he's pretty close to his goal.

I have basically have the same performance mods as you @ 296hp 1/8 mile @ 83-84 mph
I fell it could be a little faster if I could get it off the line better???
also you get a few more numbers on the dyno from a M6

Thanks Fred, that's what I was hoping for right now.

Can you recommend me some good quality rockers, do I need to upgrade the valve springs and push rods or can I keep that stock?

What does your car do in 1/4 mile or what would that come to in 1/4 mile? I don't know what's fast in 1/8 mile, I only got one track around here and its 1/4 mile track.

Oh BTW, I just noticed you have 3:73s gears, I got stock highway gears 2:73s, that would be a big difference in 1/4 mile times between our cars with same mods.

Re: What kind of gains can I see from these bolt ons?

I didn't read your first post correctly... didn't look at your signature I was assuming
that you had the 1.6rr , headers and a tune
never ran my car on a 1/4 mile track before??
personal opinion here but if I had it all to do again I would do the 1.6rr and cam at the same time
If you plan on doing a cam swap later on??? " second opinion " those 2:73 gears would be the next
thing I would change... most guys are running 4:11's on a manual 6 speed transmission
If your car would have came with the performance package it would have had 3:42 stock?

93 T56's came with either 2.73 or 3.23 rear axle. The T56 gear ratios were numerically higher to compensate. Check out the 4th Gen FAQ for more details. You can't compare 93's with a T56 to the later year cars with the 3.42 rear and the 2.66 1st gear.

I would like to rebuilt the engine at some point and I would like to get better cam and heads, but I don't see it happening any time soon though. My valve seals are worn out, I would like to change those right now and mind as well due the rockers as the same time.

As for gears go, I have a friend with a 89 mustang and he went from 2:73s to 4:11s while it did made big difference in 1/4 mile (he gained like 6 tenths) driving in city in 5th gear while only doing 35 mph is not something I would want, never mind driving on highway. Like Fred said about 93s gears ratios being bigger, If I would get gears I would only like to go as low as 3:23s.
