quiet 3.5" muffler?

I am looking for the quietest 3.5" muffler I can find, that still flows "decent". Most of the ones I have found are straight through design, I have a pretty big one from Magnaflow, but I am sitll pretty sure its gonna be LOUD.

Needs to be a center exit, but I am pretty open on everything else.

Re: quiet 3.5" muffler?

Well, I am running the Magnaflow catback system with my long tube headers and off road y-pipe and it tames down the exhaust noise quite a bit. The muffler quiets everything down so much that it is hard to tell that the car has headers.

Actually, none of them are loud until you have a load on the engine. My 4" mufflex isn't bad.

They dont, it is a 3" system. I thought you said you had a Magnaflow muffler? Maybe I misread your post or am missing something. But as for your question, the only 3.5" catback for the 3rd and 4th gens that I know of is the Mufflex system.

I've heard some of the Spintech Sportsman XL's and they weren't all that loud. Dr Gas

Re: quiet 3.5" muffler?

I have on order the Magnaflow 3.50" muffler part number 12909. It has a center inlet and offset outlet and is reversable. It is 22" long and should be on the quiet side with plenty of flow for performance. At Summit the part number is MPE-12909. I bought it to use with my 3.50" Mufflex system. You can now order this muffler with the Mufflex cat back.

Re: quiet 3.5" muffler?

I have looked at the spintechs, but I am concerned with their flow potential, as they design looks restrictive(I have "heard" they are not that restrictive, but have not seen any data to back that)
