both drivers and passenger seats dont work, is there a fuse for them or did both 'motors' go out?

 

The odds of both motors dying at the same time is slim to none. Everything has a fuse that's electrical. You may have a shorted wire if the fuse is blown; if the fuse is good, look for a dirty ground connection.

 

Is your rear window defroster working? (Test it) on 1995 F-Bodies that's on the same power feed line. (Not sure about 1996)

Check for a blown fuse that powers the line.

If the fuse is NOT blown, let us know and well try to help you.

 

The seats and the defroster are on a circuit breaker thats made to reset after its blown. Your circuit breaker could of gone bad. I would test the defroster. Also both power seats plug into one plug that comes out of the carpet under the driver seat. You may look maybe your plug came undone there.
