Question No heat... please help.

94 z28 6spd. 117k miles. There's no heat in my car. Not sure if this helps but it does not over heat at all and there's plenty of coolant. Runs and drives excellent. Checked all my fuses and there good. No dash lights on. What gives? Anyone?

Re: No heat... please help.

With the engine at full operating temperature, do both heater hoses get hot? If not, a clogged heater core is a common problem. Pull the heater hoses off at the water pump end, and flush through them with a garden hose, flowing the water in both directions to be sure you get everything out. Make sure you don't spill any coolant on the Optispark distributor, and when you refill the cooant system, be sure to fill it correctly and bleed all the air out of the system.

Not really an "Advanced Tech" topic. I'll move this to "General 67-02 F-Body Tech" for you.

Re: No heat... please help.

does your engine warm up to normal operating temp. if not it could be just a bad thermostat.
