NEED HELP on 83 crossfire Camaro

Hi! I need some opinions on buying a 83 Z28 cross fire camaro, low mileage, 22,000 one owner car almost mint. Is it collectible and desireable or is the HO option better. To buy this car I would sell me 68 6 cyl. convertible driver. Is that a good move? Does anyone know about the crossfire camaros? Looking for input and guidance. Thanks, Tom

The crossfire had a nickname....ceasefire.There is a reason for that. They were very unreliable and a good many were converted over to carb. They were only made for 2 or 3 years and GM dumped it.I personally would look for something else. Are you looking for an 83 in particular? If so the HO is definitely the way to go.

So, I guess it is not a good idea. Only for show, not to be driven much. Thanks,,Tom

Hey no problem! That's why I posted was to get input. I had not seen or heard of cross fire camaros until last night. I know the crossfire vette was not successful at all. I have been to the site you requested. Thanks, Tom
