is it worth it
hey there i got a 93lt1 my wife wont stay out of it so i came acroos an 02 6cyl firebird like i said its for the wife mine is a 93 lt1. i wanna get it up in hp cheap so i was thinking electric fan conversion and throttle body spacer it will be cheap and easy i dont feel the need to mod out a 6 cly i'd rather put money into an ls1 or lt4 but like i said i can change the fan and put a throttle body spacer in for less than 300......will i gain considerable (15-20) hp

Re: is it worth it
It has an electric fan already. You may want to have a tune done on it and possibly add a little more gear to make it feel snappy. If it has 3.23s put some 3.73s in it.

there are mods for the v6 motors, but like was said before, it already has an electric fan, and a tb spacer wont do anything. you could put headers on it. i dont know if anybody makes lts for it, but i think some companies make shorties. i think some companies make cams for them too

A site specifically for the 60-degree V6 family of engines:

You aren't going to get anything out of a throttle body spacer, and will end up with throttle cable issues.
