Mirror Replacement

Hey all,

I had some vandles smash out my driver's side door mirror, it's missing pieces and looks pretty bad. How easy is it to change out?

I have a 1995 Z28, and I'm a bit worried that maybe my mirror controls may not work properly if I have to replace that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Very easy. One screw on the plate on the inside of the car, along with 3 nuts for the mirror. Might need to take off door panel to unplug wireing to it unless you can reach it.

There is a company on e-bay that just sells the mirror glass replacement. As long as the housing is not damaged this is a easy & cheap way to go for about $20.00. Wait until you check prices for the whole assembly.

Mirror..

Hey 96Z..

I undid the screw, and three nut washers, and that allowed the whole mirror and case to pull away (power cable still hooked up). However, I just want to change the glass itself, not the whole thing. The Glass is the only thing broken.

Any suggestions? I tried moving the mirror up/down/sideways, to look for some screws or something, but can't see anything...
