Manual Fan Switch?

Anybody got a writeup on how to make your own manual fan switch? If you do make one do you have to remember to turn them on yourself all the time or will they still automatically come on when needed?

Also some alternate wiring diagams on my Tech Page. Normal automatic operation will still work.

Theres usually 3 settings - high, low and normal operation (computer controls that)

Well just sitting somewhere for over 5-10 minutes without motion the temp gauge goes past the middle and a little over to the right. I think that is a little odd because of my 160* t-stat and brand new waterpump. I just tried bleeding the system but that didn't really seem to help. Is this normal for everyone or what? I just want to fix it the easiest way possible.

PS: Thanks for the awesome link Shoebox!

Stock fans don't come on until 226° and that is in the middle or past on the gauge. Alone, the 160° thermostat does not keep your car from heating up when stopped in traffic any more than the 180° one would. It will cool down more when you get going, though. Add altered fan programming or a fan switch and you will be able to keep your temps down in all driving conditions.

I got a fan mod from Pep Boys, hate the store, love the mod, anyways, i am wiring it into my relays, and was wondering, which relay do i hook into to get into the high setting of the fan, all i got so far is the low.
