Low idle and hesitation

Hey, I have a 2000 z28. I can drive for awhile with now problems but if I shut it off for a few minutes then start it back up it has a low idle and hesitates when I try to go. It only does that for a minute or two then it runs fine again, any thoughts?

Re: Low idle and hesitation

Does it smell of fuel when that happens? Could be a leaking injector.

Or could be related to the O2 sensors. When you start the engine, there is no feedback from the O2 sensors for the first 3 minutes, because it can take that long for the PCM to enter closed loop and start correcting the A/.F ratio. A data log showing the long term and short term fuel corrections would show that problem.

Re: Low idle and hesitation

I don't smell any fuel, I replaced the O2 sensors a few months ago.
