wiring question- LS1 taillight conversion
how come my amber turn signals dont come on seperately than the brake lights? I used the harness that came with it...and I only find info on people doing the swap the other way. Anybody do this on a '93-'96 and make them work like stock?

Re: wiring question- LS1 taillight conversion
There are two things you will have to do to make it work.
1st you will have to cut the white wire leading into the turn signal harness under your dash. There are two main flat harnesses that run into the steering column. The one you want is the one closer two the steering wheel. The rear most wire should be white. This will disable the turn signals and brakes using the same lights.
2nd you have to run a new brake light power wire from the brake light switch to the LS1 tail light harness you installed. The brake light switch is the lower of the two switches on the brake pedal (on my M6 car anyway), and the wire you want to tap into is light blue. I don't remember what color the brake light wire on the tail light harness is (might be light green), but it's the one that dosn't have a mate when you plug the connectors together.
Good luck. PM me if you have any problems.
