I suspect it's the fuel pump?

I was driving down the freeway normal, car spudderd and quit. Had it towed home, after sitting overnight it started for a second and died twice in a row then wouldnt fire at all. Let it set couple more days and it did the same thing. I'm guessing it's the fuel pump, could it be something else? 94 LT1 Z28

Do you hear the pump prime for two seconds when you turn the key to run? If so, you need to check the fuel pressure. Use a pressure test gauge on the Schrader valve connection on the fuel supply hard line behind the manifold. Turn key to run and see how high pressure builds by the time the pump shuts off. Should reach at least 40 PSI. Watch how fast the pressure drops when the pump shuts off. Should not drop rapidly.

Could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter.

You can also try running the fuel pump by applying 12 volt power to the fuel pump prime connector. That bypasses the fuel pump relay, and the fuel permit signal from the PCM.

Odd..... OP signed off one minute before my response, then never came back. Waste of time.
