I had no idea......

Ok i just finished washing out my engine compartment, didn't know lt1's didn't like being washed. I took the battery out first. Washed it and dried as much as i could with an air hose. Then i repainted the under side of my hood and fender walls. After about 3hrs since wash i tried hooking the battery back up and.... the horn just stays on and the battery sparks way more than usual hooking the positive back up. There was also some smoke coming from the drivers side of the motor. What should i do, let it dry out overnight and try again in the morning. Before and after pics though....ty

Case solved. I had 2 ground wires mixed up. Switched them around and she fired right up.

Be extremely careful that you don't get the Optispark Distributor wet. It doesn't like water, and you could end up with some real problems afterwards if water gets inside.

Moisture inside the Distributor has been a problem for many LT1 owners, particularly the for the 93 & 94 with the unvented Opti.
