Hub won't fit ws6 wheels is it okay to run a half inch spacer???

So I recently bought a 94 camaro z28 it was bone stock with 87k miles on her, and I decide to give it some nice things like a k@n intake, air diverter, tb bypass and a Flowmaster exhaust, and I thought hey why not get some nicer wheels well unfortunately I bought some ws6 wheels from a junkyard and well too bad they don't fit and I didn't get a warranty so I can't return em because "hey its an fbody they'll fit". Problem is the hubs are too small for them to fit they go over the outer hub but they not all the way on so I bought some half inch hub centric spacers and hopefully they'll fit now but anyone have any opinions on why I shouldn't run them the spacers are czs 1/2 inch

Common problem. No spacers required.

Up through 1996 the rear axle hubs are larger than the front hubs (a result of GM taking the 7.625” 10-bolt rear from the S-10 pickup parts bin). The problem was corrected in late 96 by making the rear axle hubs smaller.

The difference is not more than the thickness of a sheet of paper. The “cure” is to very slightly enlarge the wheel hub hole with a Dremel. Do all 4 wheels so you can rotate the tires periodically. This will not affect wheel centering, as the wheels are lug-centric, not hub-centric.
