How much does the starter cost on my LT1
Starter dumped out on me. 97 LT1. Whats the going price on these. i keep getting different answers ranging from 120 to 250. Im like whoa nitro which one is it?
I guess I'll take your hand and guide you:
http://search.ebay.com/search/search...ter&category0=
http://www.autozone.com
http://www.advancedautoparts.com
http://www.napaonline.com
http://www.oriellyauto.com
Also, keep in mind if you take it out and bring it to autozone or anything like that you will most likely get a credit for the core. Also, that will allow the parts store to look starter and give you the right one so you don't have to guess.

thanks for holding my hand. now if i could find someone to babysit me while i put it all together. hmm

It's not so much as a core credit as it would be considered a core fee if you didn't have the starter. Any place you call will give you the price assuming you've got a core. I work at Autozone, and if I recall the starter for my 94Z is 125 or so... $250 is absolutely absurd unless it's like a high-torque performance starter, or an OEM GM part.
Mine went out right after I got the car. I didnt work at autozone at the time *do now lol* But mine was $151 with I believe $25 core? I even looked at the price on it today for some odd reason. I duno if that price is all over or just a regional and things change around kinda thing.... but thats what mine in Utard Cost
