Hooker Catback?

Hey guys, I have a Hooker catback on my baby with BBK shorties and a gutted cat. I have only got a chance to have it idle and rev, but it doesnt seem too loud/deep.

Are Hookers loud/deep as more carbon builds up and when the engine is actually under load during acceleration?

Re: Hooker Catback?

My Hooker catback sounds deep off idle when accelerating. They are pretty quiet when idling, but once you get it out on the road, it will give you a big

Re: Hooker Catback?

I have the Hooker with stock manifolds and I just replaced my Carsound cat with a pipe... It's louder with a load on the engine than just idling and reving... Mine wakes up once I hit 2000rpm and up... Besides the stink of the exhaust while sitting in traffic, I like the sound... I don't know how a gutted cat will compare to a pipe though.
