Hissing from speakers

Mods please leave this here. The audio forum moves like cold glue. :(

I have a Pioneer CD player and the original system was Bose. There is a pop when the radio comes on and then a constant hiss. Even when the volume is turned off the hiss is still there. Does anyone know how to rid of it for sure? Thanks!

The pop sounds like its not grounded right. My sub/amp use to do it untill I re-grounded it.

Yea, just check the connection to the speaker, then to the head unit, and if those are ok run new wires. I remember messing with that bose system. I lost 3 speakers on mine and ended up rewiring the whole thing...whatta mess....

So what do you think isnt grounded right the pioneer deck? All the speakers are stock.

Well, when you connected the old harness to the new head unit you might have a couple bare wires and they could be touching a bit. Somthing along those lines...
