just woundering if any one could give me a little info. ok i have a 85 irockz28. and it has a 350 block bord 20 over and it has forged dome pistons .and high performance rings and lifters and push rods. ok plus "305 heads shaved .20000's'' . i have a 700 R4 tranny with a police interceptor govner stall converter and a shift kit as well.and i forgot the motor has a 3/4 cam in it as well. im tryin to find out what kind of horse power i may have under the hood. i havent been able to go have a dinogstics test ran yet. so if any one can help me out here i would be very thankful.

The best and most accurate way to know will be to get a few pulls on a chasis dyno. That will give you the rear wheel horse power and torque of your car, plus it will give you a great snapshot of your power band, etc.

what exactly is a "3/4 cam"????

specs are pretty important to determine performance.

and what kind of intake setup? i assume TPI or carb

Camshafts use to be described as 3/4 or "full race" cams a long time ago before there were vey many choices on camshaft profiles. It used to be like ordering a soft drink, you could order small medium or large :) . Nobody uses that term anymore because there are so many options available when buying a cam. We'd need more info about the engine to really make any kind of accurate estimate on the engine, but like stated above, you can find out for sure if you just strap it on a chassis dyno.

yeah, lots of the cams being run in LT1s are bigger then most of the old 3/4 or even full race cams(in large part due to the roller lifters)
