SLP Header help

im new to this so try to be patient with me while i learn this site, i have a 1996 z28 A4 and it has slp shorties on it, did they come from the factory with them already on there or was it a special order? and my intake tube says gigliotti on it, which from what ive read, offers no HP increase at all.

Re: SLP Header help

No, it did not come from the factory with headers. A Cold Air Intake (CAI) (like your Gigliotti) should help with a little HP.

Re: SLP Header help

The G2 CAI (L.G. Motorsports) was simply a tube that kept the stock airbox behind the headlights, and a new cover for the airbox. Did not include a new filter panel.

It generally got bad reviews, but I never tried one. I have the original G2 literature from the mid 90's, and it was $240.

The SLP headers were strictly aftermarket, not factory or dealer installed.

Re: SLP Header help

I didn't realize the G2 thing was so minimal as compared to other CAIs. I would doubt it having much effect.
