Gauge Cluster Swap

Could anybody give me any links or information on how to swap out a guage cluster on a 94 Z28. I am also curious if the odometer will swap out from a 115 speedo to the 150 one so I have the correct mileage showing? Thanks

Re: Gauge Cluster Swap

Judging by your post, I take it you have a 115 Mph speedo in your 94.

So long as the cluster if from a 94-97 camaro it should be a direct swap. Just pull the bezel off, unbolt cluster, disconnect wiring harness, and reinstall. The 93 might act a bit funky in the tach department (93's had a tach filter which you have to remove when swapping in a later year cluster), and the LS1 clusters will NOT work correctly.

I know with the firebirds you can swap in the digital 97 clusters and they'll work fine. I've got one already in my purple 93. Can't say the same for the camaro's though. It should work with them too.

Re: Gauge Cluster Swap

So I digital cluster will work on my '94?? I'm asking because my trip odomoter doesn't work and porbably need another cluster.........dunno if its a seperate unit I can replace (good luck finding another one anyway). Thought it would be neat to have a digital one........so will only a '97 work?? Oh wait I just see you said an LS1 cluster won't work......gotcha.
