can you put a ls1 gas tank and pump into a lt1 car without modifications? plug and play? will the fuel pressure be a problem? or is that computer controaled? just need some info...friend needs a walbrough pump, i need some weight, thinking about selling him my stuff and buying a ls1tank and wabrough kit

Re: gas tank

the 01+ units are light weight plastic. you'll have to cut the pigtail off the new one and put the lt1 pigtail back on...other than that you'll jsut have a better fuel pump

And 1.3 more gallons if you get a 99+.

Isn't the LS1 fuel system dead ended (no return line) with pressure control integral with the in-tank pump? Definitely not compatible with an LT1 and its recirculated system.

I can take a look but I'm pretty sure my 01 doesn't have a return system. Also, I did some checking a while back and I thought the fuel pump access ring location was different front to back at the center of the tank from the LT1 to LS1 years.
