Convertible Owners

I am having a problem with my seat belts retracting. I am told by chevrolet dealership it is because of the anglefrom where the seatbelt comes to the guide on the seat that it is made and really can't be fixed. Is anyone else have this problem?? Both driver and passenger front seats are doing this. Anyone have any solutions? Please help if you can because it is really annoying me and I really don't drive the car that much. I am  out for some help, thanks everyone.

I have the same problem, but only with the drivers side. Thinking about trying to lube the retract. 98 Z28 6spd convertible.

My dad also has this problem on his 2000 SS Convertible.
It pisses me off when I drive his car.

I have the same problem with my 98 z. I just leave my belts out of their plastic guide on the top of the seat and that seems to work good.

That is what I think I am going to have to do, unless I hear a better suggestion on here, but I would really like to use the guide on the seat.

I have gotten into the habit, of every time I get out of the car I reach over and pull it up by hand. Works every time!

I pull mine up by hand as well. You can try to readjust the angel of the metal loop that the belt goes through. Under the the rear sail panels. 13mm socket, I believe.
