how comes when i go to order a shift plate for my 93z m6 conversion, they dont have one because they are made for 94-96? will this fit a 93?

 

Where are you trying to order one from?
They actual plate has been discontinued and is no longer made. I have been trying to find one for months now and I have not had any luck.

 

To answer your question, YES, the 94-96 shifter plate will work with the '93 console. I have a '93 Z28 that was originally an A4, but I swapped it to a '96 T56 transmission, and I replaced my A4 plate with an M6 plate out of a '95 Z28. Only difference between 93 & 94-96 shift plate is the colored markings- 93 = yellow, 94-96 = white.
