Car wouldn't shift into certain gears
Car wouldn't shift into 1st, 3rd, or reverse. When I first found the problem I was going about 20 already shifting into 3rd gear. The gear just grinded so I had to skip to 4th. Then at a stop sign I tried to take off in 1st but the gears just grinded again so I had to take off from second. It happened all of a sudden. But then all of a sudden about 15 minutes later the gears started working again. What could this have been? And what could I try and do to make sure there are no future issues? Thanks!

You will get better results by indicating the specific year/model of the car, and the specific transmission type.

There's a "Signature" feature that allows you to include that information in all your posts, appended to the bottom (see everything below the solid line at the bottom of this post). That way no one has to ask for the info.
Click on the "User CP" button on the red task bar at the top of every page, and then click on "Edit Signatire". Have you checked the fluid level in the clutch reservoir? |

I checked it, it looked a tad low but I added some dot 3 brake fluid for good measure. But of course the extra dripped out. So it's not that I don't think |
