I just purchased a restored 1967 Camaro Convertible with 350 SS badges. I used the VIN and confirmed it was orginally equipped with a V8. I have done a little research and determined the 350 was a valid engine option in 1967. However, I would like to know if it was truely an SS from the factory.

Does anyone know how I can prove it was orginally equipped as a 350SS?

There is a cowl tag riveted to you fire wall on the driver side. Write down everything on that tag and visit Camaros.net. They have forum called tag-team. Someone there will decode it for you. That cowl tag should tell you everything.
