Bad vibrations when engine bogging/under load (missed shift)
 

:eek: Well I was merging on the interstate @ WOT. I went to shift from 2nd to 3rd but instead went to 1st . As I let off the cluch the engine of course started to rev up and the shifter shook side to side violently. The gas pedal felt different afterword too. Now there is a lot more vibrations throughout the entire car but I gets worse at low speed with the clutch out or when bogging in engine in 6th:mad: . It also "bucks" when lauching hard:confused: . I am almost sure a broke a motor mount but I don't know how to test them on a M6 car. I don't really think it's the exhaust because it doesn't get worse when engine speed, just engine load. I hope it's not the clutch/flywheel/ ect.... HELP!

I can't think of a test for a broken motor mount other than looking to see if one is broken . . . that should work no matter what the engine is . . . mind you it may be hard to see them on the car without having it up in the air

If it makes any difference the vibrations get worse if you go around a left turn but seemingly disappear around a right turn. Could this be a broken mount?

The transmission shop says it's not a broken tranny or motor mount. What could it be? Something got broken loose?

Bent pushrods? Those are what sometimes comes of over revs like that, maybe it just scared you and you're paranoid(probably not, just trying to make ya feel better)?

Engine runs the same and has the same oil pressure. Again, I only have this problem when the transmission is engaged so I don't see how it could be engine related.

if it sounds any different then chances are you bent a pushrod or two. Some cars run great for many miles with a bent pushrod, with little diference in power or vibration.

I dont know crap about harmonic balancers, but do you think that could be the cause?

It's not a engine problem. It's a drivetrain problem. I'm going to the tranny shop today to get it checked out.
